Burn You Baby (Speakeasy #85)

You know, I don’t even remember his name-
And I’m okay with that.
I mean, why bother with pretences?
Let’s all deal in Fact.
I’m sure he won’t remember me,
Next month, or next weekend,
This flame is only for tonight
So I’ll keep kissing and just pretend.

  1. I like the straightforward attitude - let's all deal in Fact. May as well, right?

  4. Sounds like the Fact was a one-nighter. "and just pretend" was a great way to end it.
